My dress was one of the first dresses I tried on, but I kept looking to make sure it was the perfect one, and came back to it after a few more bridal appointments. I was with my friends when I first found it, and with my mom, sister, and cousin when the dress came into stock and I went for my first fitting. We looked long and hard for a perfect blue suit for Kyle and the guys. Originally he wanted baby blue in honor of his soccer team, Manchester City. We compromised on a blue with a bit more gray in it. 😉
My dress was from Rin’s Bridal in San Carlos, California. It was a Madison James gown. Kyle’s suit was from Zara.
Kyle planned our first big vacation together, a trip from CA to Miami and then on to Grand Cayman. We stayed in Bodden Town at Sea Palm Villas and immediately loved the quiet, romantic vibe. He asked me to go for a beach walk after dinner on our second night there. He was acting kind of nervous and I wondered if he was going to propose. I texted my sister who said I was crazy. She said just enjoy the vacation. We walked on the beach for a few minutes and then Kyle asked if I wanted to stop and sit in the sand. He asked me to hang his flashlight in the tree, when I turned around he was down on one knee in the sand. He said the sweetest things as he asked me to marry him. It was one of the most incredible moments of my life!
My best friend who I’ve known since I was five is the creator of Marylambb. She designed my earrings. @marylambb_la
We met on a dating app. I’d been on a lot of mediocre dates, but after meeting Kyle I knew quickly there was something special about him.
We saw each other for first look photos. I was so nervous about the ceremony but once we did first look with you and you drove us to that other little beach, I felt calm and thrilled for the wedding to begin. I also loved when my mom held my train and walked me to where I met Kyle on the beach. It will always be a special memory.
I had been nervous about the ceremony and saying my vows as I don’t like public speaking/being the center of attention. After first look though I was not nervous anymore, just so incredibly happy to marry my best friend. During our vows we were just enamored with each other!
Our first look photos, the ceremony when the Reverend said what we loved about each other, when my veil flew out and Kyle’s best man, Kevin, put it back in my hair, our first dance, the way Kyle looked at me with a twinkle in his eye and the most loving smile ever as I walked down the isle towards him
What were you most anxious, nervous or fearful about regarding your wedding day and what was the outcome?
I was most nervous about being the center of attention and saying my vows in front of people. Leading up to the wedding I was also missing my father who passed away 12 years ago. I was worried that I would cry uncontrollably. By the time the ceremony started I was having the time of my life, I was excited and so happy to marry Kyle. I only had little butterflies in my stomach.
It amazing, like a fairytale, exceeding our expectations! We wanted a small, intimate, beautiful wedding and had exactly that.
Find a great wedding planner (like Juliette), it would have been too overwhelming to do it from afar without her help!
What’s one piece of advice you would give to other couples for planning their wedding?
Remember that you are celebrating you and your partner’s love, the hard part is over because you found your partner and are marrying them!
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
You put us at ease immediately. It was fun taking photos with you! We felt like we’d known you for a long time, it was like hanging out with a fun friend, which is what you want on your special day. Our family commented that you’re easy going and down-to-earth
Yes, you gave us enough time. We messed up and told our guests to arrive later than the timeline, there was so much going on, we should’ve double checked the guest arrival time vs. ceremony start time, oops!
That’s where Kyle proposed. We wanted to have our ceremony in that special place, it will always be close to our hearts.

We love to hear about vendors you love. List any vendors here and feel free to share your experience.

How did you find your photographer? Online research? Word of mouth?Kyle started following Rebecca on Insta after we got engaged so when Juliette started mentioning photographers and said her name, Kyle said, “I want Rebecca!” 🙂
Use Rebecca Davidson so you can have fun! Pictures take up a large portion of your wedding day so it’s important to have a photographer who puts you at ease and helps you enjoy the experience
