Cute Story

We fell madly for each other Age 18 & 19! We were inseparable to the point where Sam pretended he had broken his arm to have time off work to be with me! Then at the end of all the time we’d spent together we almost broke up!

Unique part of your wedding

Our children were grown up enough to be a part of it and remember it! Our son Jaden being ‘Best Man’ was truly special and our daughter Honey being ‘Best girl’.

The dress

I found the dress on Pinterest 2 years before the wedding! Instantly knew it was the one and perfect for Spain! Luckily it flattered my shape!

How did you both meet

We were at college together but I was 1 year older so didn’t notice him! Ha ha It was only while driving around our town that I would bump into him at every roundabout or traffic lights most days! Sam would always give me a wave and a cheeky smile! I thought he was really cute so I actually wrote out a note, drove round to his house and left the note on his car! He messaged me that night! Met the next day and we were official the day after !

How did Sam pop the question

13 years later and 2 children, moved house 3 times! He finally did it on a family holiday in Turkey. It was beautiful. He tried his best to hide the ring box in his pocket but he did a terrible job! Ha ha he was so nervous he couldn’t talk and give it away all at the beginning but I went along with it. We went for a walk after dinner towards the beach and he did it there trying to involve the kids but Honey was too distracted by the cats roaming around! Ha ha

Groomsmens outfits

I knew I wanted a neutral colour but finding 10 matching for all the groomsmen at an affordable price was difficult! Then we finally found the one at Next!

Favourite moments from the day

Seeing everyone’s beautiful faces as I walked down the aisle! My son ‘Jaden’s’ speech was brilliant and even Sam impressed me! The the band were amazing! Danced all night! Being with my girls all day getting ready! Just everything!

How did you feel during your vows and walking down the aisle

I felt very very calm! Which is the opposite to how I would normally be publicly speaking

How would you describe your overall wedding experience

Amazing! I’d love to do it all again! The whole week being with all our loved ones was just magical!

What advice would you offer other couples

It’s much easier if you know what you want! I.e. flowers, venue type, make up, hair, transport. Make your guest list, send out a message and get dates out there so you know your people can make it!

How was your experience with the “story-tellers”

So easy! I had no stress with you and Noah was breezy and under control making the best of every opportunity even in a random moment. I loved you took control and suggested ideas as on the day the bride’s head can’t think of anything! Ha ha

Any unique items at the wedding

I loved my perspex accessories. The welcome sign, seating plan and name places. Beautiful.

What made you anxious

I had 2 things. 1. People not getting there in time as the taxis were unreliable as we discovered over the holiday! So everyone arrived early before the free bar opened and in sweltering heat but it worked! 2. I didn’t want to cry or be a nervous shaking wreck during the ceremony as I’m not good with all eyes on me or public speaking but I’d coached myself so much upto it that I actually embraced every moment and enjoyed every second! I’m so happy I did that

The girls

One of my bridesmaids lives in America so I don’t see her as often as I’d like so having her there and being part of it was magical. My 3 other girls are my daily life ❤️ like my sisters. To share such a moment is a dream

How did you find your venue

My friend found it online after she found my wedding planner too! I loved the vibe as soon as I saw it. It was close to our apartment too which was very convenient
