All About the Dress
Found my dress in September of 2022 with my mom and sister at lovely bridal in Phoenix. I wanted a bohemian look and I loved how the lace looked!
Were You Anxious About Anything And If So How Did It Turn Out?
Yes! Standing in front of everyone we knew! It turned out great once I saw Andrews face and got to finally squeeze his hand! We were crying so much and I remembered from a podcast to take in the moment during your ceremony and they say to look out at your friends and family to really see their faces and I am so glad I remembered to do that and told Andrew to do it too!
How Did He Pop the Question?
We were in Anguilla on a sail boat and they took us to a small island called Prickly Pear Cay. Andrew wanted to take a picture down by the beach and he just kept talking while we were trying to pose so I was confused about whether or not we were taking a picture. Then, he was down on one knee in the sand with my beautiful engagement ring in his hand while he’s telling me I’m the love of his life and asking me to marry him. The group we were with all cheered and opened champagne while we ate unlimited crayfish!
How Did You Meet?
We met through a friend, Andrew and I immediately clicked while we bonded over our birthdays being a day apart and our shared love of concerts.
Who Did Your Decor and Describe How It Looked… This Is A Great Shout Out To the Decorators…
Celebrations! It was amazing! We had two issues come up throughout the decoration set up but Charlotte came to me and asked me what I would like to do so I asked her what she would do and she was able to figure everything out and everything ended up working out just like we had planned! I really appreciated her asking me but I knew she had the experience to know exactly what to do! It was great to have trust in her and her team!
Unique Little Details
I am a very creative person so I loved having my personal touches throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. Dog bar signs and napkins, paint by number guest book painting, hand painted name place cards for the reception and Taylor Swift inspired table names/seating chart. Plus I loved the shoe valet the hotel provided to us after walking in the sand to brush off our feet.
Fun Things About the Reception
Paint by number, Taylor Swift table names and seating chart sign, dog bar sign and napkins and the amazing sign above the bar with the flowers! We also had a gelato cart and espresso martinis which was so fun! The entire day was just perfect!
