I thought I knew exactly what I wanted in a dress and on a whim, went to a local wedding dress boutique that a few of my friends had been to, with just my dad and good friend – I was worried about having too many opinions! Like they all say – you just know the minute you see yourself in the dress. I stayed in the dress for 45 minutes that day, and ended up making a few custom alterations, but it turned out perfectly!
We stayed in separate rooms the night before the wedding, but woke up early to have breakfast together the day of. It was the perfect way to start our wedding day, and it was nice to spend some time together before the madness started!
Fun! There will inevitably be some stress, but Rebecca, Jackie and the team and the Ritz-Carlton are amazing – letting them take the reigns on the day of the wedding allowed me to enjoy the moment!
We were on vacation in Laguna Beach. He waited until the last night of our trip, so I was completely caught off guard. He proposed on the beach just after sunset, so I guess you could say that beach destinations are special to us.
We did a first look, and I am so glad that we did! Rebecca does a great job of fading into the background so you truly feel like it is just the two of you. It makes for great pictures, and to me, helped build even more excitement for the ceremony just an hour or two away.
Rely on the professionals on the ground. Worry less about the details that really will not matter at the end of the day and more about enjoying the experience.
Listen to your photographer! The requests might seem random, but there is good reason for them!
How was your experience taking photos/working with me on your wedding day?
Incredible! Rebecca has an amazing ability to truly connect with you and make you feel completely at ease (which is not the easiest thing when you are trekking around the island in a wedding dress)! I am being honest when I say that I would love to have Rebecca photograph all of our future live events!
We wanted to do a destination wedding somewhere that was not too far away. Grand Cayman is stunning and we heard rave reviews about the Ritz-Carlton (which turned out to be true)!
Definitely anxious, but the minute I started walking down the stairs, I was ready!
The chickens that crashed the ceremony, and being able to get a photograph together with all of our guests!
