The Dress
I had it down to two dresses, I tried this one on one more time and it fit like a glove. Very minor adjustments needed to be made and I felt so good and confident in it. It is timeless and will never be something I regret!
How did you both meet
Oh Covid… Our relationship was one of the good things to come of it! We met on an online course in college with 200 other students on the Zoom course where Tobias turned his camera on and Lola thought he was cute! She sent him a message after the course and the rest was history!
How did Tobias pop the question
On our 3 year anniversary, he took us to a special park where we had taken family photos 6 months prior. He made a very silly decision of pretending to propose during those family photos but made up for it when actually popping the question there in the same spot. He got us a dog in hopes of throwing me off and it definitely did a little!
Traditions
We had gotten married 6 months prior to the wedding ceremony with our pastors! This was special and allowed us to take pressure off of the actual ceremony & to actually just celebrate our love day of!
We also spent all day together prior to the ceremony as we aren’t ones for superstitions! This allowed all of our nerves to be alleviated and to be present with each other!
First Look
We didn’t do a first look with each other but Lola did with her Mom, Nana, & Dad. It felt so surreal that it was happening! It’s a day you dream of forever and I am so grateful to have had all of those people there to take it all in with.
The Aisle
SO EXCITED!!! Looking at Tobias knowing I am walking into a future with my favorite person was and is the best feeling. All the nerves left when I saw him. Took a lot not to just run to him!
The Kiss
It felt like a movie! Tobias says “Like the Notebook but happy”. Haha. With the pouring rain and dramatic lightening it was cinematic! It was one of those kisses that you can’t help but smile when it finishes. Ok ok, I’m blushing and grinning just thinking about it all over again 🥰
The Rain…
Down pour!!! Though you hear many people say they have rain on their wedding, very few you hear that all plans were uprooted! Truly we made the best of it and made so many great memories. Once we were drenched we looked into each others eyes and could confidently say we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Anxiety
We were anxious about many aspects (weather, guests, everything bring perfect) but everything turned out to be just the way it was supposed to be! Everything happens for a reason and we are so blessed for how everything turned out.
The Venue
Nova is such a special place. They have the most unbelievable food, divine views, & sweet staff. We knew it was the one! After eating there many times and spending special occasions there we had all of the visions in our heads!
The Reception
It was heavenly to be seated at a table with many of our favorite people in one place. While the seating arrangements changed overtime and not everyone we could’ve wanted there could be there, there was more love seated at the table than I could ever imagine. The table was filled with love, laughter, and the warmest feeling of comfort. We hope the vision of that night never leaves my head.
The food was incredible! Every bite was a taste of perfection! So grateful for Nova & Bàcaro for creating the most delicious menu and amazing people behind it all!
Taking Pictures
Knowing that our love was going to be captured beautifully! It was truly incredible being in one of our favorite places together taking photos of our dreams. It was so nice to have a couple moments just for us to take it all in !
All in all….
We are so grateful for the wonderful experience with everyone involved. Everyone had a piece in making it run smoothly and perfectly. We are so blessed! Surrounded by love, support, & happiness.
