Tell me about your dress.
“My dress felt like it was made for me the minute I tried it on. I loved it even before I looked at it in the mirror. It was my 12th or 13th dress I had tried between the boutique and another bridal store and I really did get that feeling of “this is the one” the minute I saw myself in it. I found the dress with my mom, dad and special aunt that raised me. I picked it on my aunt’s 65th birthday! She said she couldn’t think of a more perfect way to spend her birthday.”
How did you two meet?
“Jeremy was working at as a Teller at the time and I frequently visited the ATM at his location so he always watched me come and go but never had the chance to meet me. One day I walked into the bank and ended up seeing the Teller seated beside him and he tried to strike up conversation with me while assisting another customer. That evening we both pulled into Maedac at the same time to take advantage of Tuesdays 10% off gas special. He made a corny joke when he got out of the car about seeing me twice in one day and we started the small talk. He introduced himself to me after we went inside to pay, saying he couldn’t let the opportunity pass to know my name. The rest is history!”
Were there any unique items in your wedding that you would like to highlight?
“This was our second wedding (to each other!) We went into lockdown 6 weeks before our original wedding date and we decided to continue with a small, intimate covid wedding. Having our big wedding celebration was really special for us. It was really a dream come true for me.”
What’s your story?
“When we first met we realised how much we both loved the water and this was something that really drew us closer together and kept us connected throughout the years. Some of our favourite memories revolve around the water whether it be snorkelling off Paradise Restaurant , free diving or boating and fishing. The water really bound us together.”
How did he pop the question?
“We were on a vacation in the Bahamas visiting a friend of ours and the night before we were to come home, we visited The Cloisters on Paradise Island to “take some pictures” and we walked down to a beautiful gazebo near the sea. He told me to go stand in front of the sea for a photo and when I turned around he was down on one knee under the gazebo saying “Kristina, will you marry me please?” Our friend was with us and caught the whole thing on camera.”
What was memorable about taking pictures with your bridal party?
“It was so much fun taking pictures with my bridal party. My bridesmaids were maid up of some of my dearest cousins, longest friend, my stepdaughter and my goddaughter. We’ve never had a reason to all get dressed up and take photos together before so it was super fun doing it for the wedding. I honestly can’t imagine my wedding day without them.”
How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
“BEST. DAY. EVER. I enjoyed every minute of the day. Everything looked beautiful and went so smoothly, I didn’t want it to end when it was over. Juliette from Five Star Events was the most incredible planner. We had so many mishaps along the way and she remained so positive and genuinely tried her best to keep us happy – always! I would relive our wedding day 1000 times over.”
