Kerryann and Christian tied the knot on beautiful Seven Mile beach in front of the gorgeous Caribbean Club. Rebecca from Parfait had her crew do all of the stunning decorations, not to mention ensure that the day ran smoothly! Christian had a bit of an accident a few weeks before the wedding and found himself in a cast. However, he was able to remove the cast for the wedding – brave man! These guys were willing to do a First Look (when I say willing…I mean Kerryann really wanted to do it and Christian was willing to do whatever she wanted to make her happy). Turns out he LOVED it!
“Through all the planning of the wedding, the only decision that wasn’t sitting well was the idea of our “First Look”.
I guess you can call me a bit of the traditionalist because from the moment we got engaged, all I could picture was seeing Kerryann for the first time as she walked down the aisle of our ceremony and getting completely taken over by my emotions.
The thought of changing from the norm and what I had been picturing in my head was quite unsettling but I put trust in both my bride to be and Rebecca Davidson that everything would be great. The “First Look” occurred at a small beach, I was waiting out on a pier blindfolded as Kerryann arrived and met me out there to reveal herself. My emotions went crazy! The build up really added to the experience; the car ride to our spot, walking to the end of the pier, and finally blindfolding myself knowing that the next thing I would see would be my beautiful bride.
It was perfect, everything I wanted and more. Knowing that it was just her and I out there settled my nerves and allowed me to be natural and just enjoy the moment. We had a very private and intimate moment in a beautiful setting, making it an experience that I will never forget. Now looking back, the “First Look” was one of my favorite and most memorable parts of my wedding day. It gave Kerryann and I the opportunity to have a special moment, alone, where we focused on us.”
Isn’t that awesome?! 🙂
The details at this wedding never ended…. from the romantic notes that kept coming to the bride throughout the day from Christian, the Toms shoes, groomsmen socks, “almost married” sign, bridesmaids dressing gowns, the candy table made by their mum, ‘Mr Right’ and ‘Mrs Always Right’ signs, ‘i do – me too’ cake topper, and the photobooth!!!! Unreal!!!
It was so hard to keep these guys off the dance floor! There were several occasions where people were begged to return to their seats for dinner/dessert etc. Too much fun!!!
We also let off some wish lanterns – absolutely perfect night for it. Christian started with the demo and then it was all lanterns ablaze! I love these wish lanterns, they are just beautiful against the night sky! (Although I do wonder what poor pilots must think!).
I met up with these guys a few days after their big day to Trash the Dress…they even jumped on their sisters scooter for a few fun shots, got in an old fishing boat and I mean OLD and dirty! Great job guys!!!
Congratulations Christian and Kerryann! And thank you SO much for choosing me to be a part of your special day!
