Karen and Yasha got married on beautiful Seven Mile Beach in front of the Westin Casuarina hotel. They were joined by nearly 90 of their family and friends from all over the world – Russia, Uruguay, Brazil and all across the US. They had a bridal party of 20 (yes, 20! SO much fun!) – I just love the yellow dresses, and the suspenders the guys wore – too cool! Karen and Yasha signed their Ketubah and then proceeded with their oceanfront ceremony. Karen was accompanied down the aisle by her parents – with a brief pause to let the most adorable guest have his brief moment of fame in front of the camera! He was just too cute!
After the ceremony all the guests were transported by Tropicana Tours down to Grand Old House for the reception. Karen’s dance with her father had the Picture This team in tears – such a beautiful song! The traditional Jewish Hora was a blast…I had to do some very interesting maneuvers in and out of all the guests, but we got some fun shots! DJ Craig did what he does best and had these guys partying well into the night!
We met up a few days later for an awesome Trash The Dress session – check out the photo montage of them jumping off the dock – awesome! I’ll let Karen tell you what she thought of their TTD shoot – “Trashing the dress was the most fun thing ever! I wish we had our friends with us to do it too!! We laughed so much that day with Becs. People still come up to me and say they can’t believe we did that. But we would do it all over again in a heart beat. The whole experience was unforgettable. Most brides don’t get to put their dress back on a few days after the wedding. I was glad I did :)”
Karen and Yasha wanted me to pass on their heartfelt thanks to their family and friends:
“We are beyond lucky to have such great families and friends who came from around the world to celebrate with us. They mean the world to us and we are so happy to have shared Cayman with them. We really have to thank our parents for their love and support throughout the whole process. Bringing almost 90 people together on a small island was no small feat, and we could never have done it alone. We will be forever grateful to everyone involved in helping us have our dream wedding.”
Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your big day – you guys are awesome!
Seriously…how cute is this little guy?! 🙂
With Great Appreciation (+ Karen’s personal “thank you’s” :))
Hair and Makeup: Kendal at George Carvalho salon. (He was really great and the girls all loved him. I wish I thought to call him for TTD!)
Wedding Day Coordinator: Juliette from Save the Date (She was super helpful with everything leading up to the big day and made sure everything ran smoothly.)
Officiant: Rabbi Elizabeth Wood (from NY) (After our wedding some of our friends hired her for their weddings. She’s THAT good.)
Venue: Westin Casuarina Resort (Ceremony)
Grand Old House (Reception)
Music: DJ Craig (He literally kept everyone on the dance floor ALL night long, and that’s exactly what we wanted 🙂 He was simply the best.)
Videography: PictureThis… (We absolutely loved working with Picture This for photo and video. They made everyone feel so comfortable, and the gorgeous shots speak for themselves on the kind of work Rebecca is capable of. I wish I could get married every year just to work with you guys again!)
Photography: Rebecca Davidson (My friends all came up to me afterwards to tell me how great Rebecca was. We’ve never seen pictures like ours before – especially like the ones on the rocks during sunset. Which, by the way, I had to borrow Rebecca’s flip flops for those shots since I was barefoot!! She is truly an artist and has some amazing ideas. She is also very quick about getting great shots, which is essential in 90 degree heat. I can go on and on, but the main thing is this: People shouldn’t think twice about booking Rebecca. We booked you guys before we even had a venue, and it was extremely worth it :))
