All About The Dress
It took me 7 months of searching online and only 1 day in Miami to find my dress. In my online search I found my dress but had to no hopes of the dress shop being in Miami. It took the 3rd or 4th dress shop to find the exact dress I saw, I was I so excited and over the moon. At the time I had my mom with me and my sister on video call and both were IN LOVE with my dress. I just knew!
The First Touch
My husband and I did a first touch, as seeing the bride before the wedding is a no no per tradition, we opted to go for a first. It was nerve wracking and emotional for the both of us, but also a very beautiful moment.
How Did You Both Meet?
Najee and I both grew up on church together. Our families have been longtime friends prior. We had a very close relationship when we were younger that just grew into something else.
How Did You Feel Walking Down The Aisle?
I had so much nerves, but I was so happy. Happy to be walking toward and into my future with my best friend. The energy was high, but I was also thinking if he doesn’t cry I’m going to go back up and start this again!
The First Kiss
I was absolutely nervous for the first kiss, wanting to make it perfect because this is the first time ever that our family will be seeing us do this. The kiss was electric, like a pulse ran through me. My husband also felt the same way and thoroughly enjoyed as was noticed by our officiant.
Describe Your Venue and Why You Chose It?
My venue gave great lawn vibes with a gorgeous gazebo area. It was not your typical scenery, we had the see in the background and the gazebo was lower than where the guests were sitting. This venue was not my first option, the original venue fell through and my planner, being the brilliant lady she is, came through with something 10 times better.
How Did He Pop The Question?
He popped the question in Switzerland!!! We planned a major vacation together after I was finished with my MSc degree in Southampton, England. He planned the trip to Switzerland and Amsterdam with a detailed itinerary. He told me of his plans to do a photoshoot around old town Zurich and I was excited, I planned out outfits and everything. We always talked about a couple photoshoot, but back home. What he didn’t know that on the day of the proposal I saw a little red box in his back while we were getting ready! I thought it had to be during the photoshoot.
The session was for an hour and at every point I was soooo ready, I got a little down when I asked our photographer how much time we had and she said 2 minutes. It was at the LASt second he popped the question
