The Dress
- I went to numerous of dress shop’s trying on dresses , but me and my friend was in Beverley and my work friend had told me about Elizabeth Lucas Boutique so we went to have a look and I just knew instantly my dress was going to be from here, but of course I couldn’t pick without my Mum or Auntie’s ( I would of been in big trouble lol) but due to Covid Restrictions you could only take one person . So as soon as we possibly could we went back and made a day of it . My mum and Aunties had been dragged to numerous of dress shop’s with me lol but as soon as I put the dress on we all just knew this was the one. The dress was totally different to what I expected I’d go for, the colour was Moscato which is a pinky colour , with sparkles all over (Very me)
Did you see each other before the wedding
No we wanted to be traditional and spend the night apart , Joe went for a meal with his friends and family the night before in the Old Town and I went for a meal with all my friends and family on the beach. Although we did end up seeing each other after our meals as everyone ended up in the same pub to watch the football, but I didnt stay I wanted a good night’s sleep we had one last kiss and I left sharpish.
Bridesmaids Dresses
Kates Dresses – They are Multiway Dresses so the bridesmaid’s could pick which style they wanted to suit them.
The Groom
The Groom picked it all his self without any input from me! Luckily everything he picked went well with the colour co-ordination! He looked so handsome.
How did you feel walking down the aisle
I felt sick shaking with excitement and nerves , I thought I was going to cry but I had my Dad on my arm for support and as soon as I see all my family and friend’s and then Joe I was fine , I don’t think I stopped smiling after that all day.
How did you meet
We met on a night out in a pub called the Bobbin in Cleethorpes. Joe was working in my local town on the Wind Farms. Joe had already seen me the week before very drunk dancing on the tables and he said to his friend she’s fit but even if she asked me for my number I wouldn’t give her it….and the week after ironically I bumped into him and got talking to him asked him for his number (and yes he give me it) the rest is history.
How did you meet
Joe had taken me to Santorini for my 30th Birthday and had booked the The Canaves in Oia it was the most idyllic restaurant with the most beautiful views. The restaurant was a cave that was carved into the cliffside over looking the Aegean Sea, with all fishing boats below . Just as the sun was setting behind Santorini’s famous white buildings , I turned around and he was on one knee!! I have never been so shocked in my whole life, I really was not expecting it! I wish he had of waited till after we had eaten as the food was sooo expensive and I literally could not eat it with shock and excitement lol he wasnt happy! lol
How would you describe the overall feeling the day of your wedding
It really was the best day of our lives.
How did you pick the venue
As soon as we walked in we just knew it was the one, we liked that it was exclusive only to us , and that it had different sections where you got married, then ate, then had the night time part. The free bar also helped lol and of course it was on the mountain edge overlooking the sea.
Unique thing to happen at wedding
Ermm my friend got me a photo made of our dog Lenny (who we wish so bad could of been there hes our baby) lol if you got a photo of this would be great.
What was your favourite moment from the wedding
Hanna: When Joe finished his speech with saying I just want to say ….. and as he said it the Jersey Boys walked out singing ‘Your just to good to be true I cant take my eyes off you’ my heart melted! And all of the most special people to us both making the effort to travel all that way, it meant the world to us. Joe: Our First Dance with the Jersey Boys singing My eyes adored you
What was your first song you danced to
The Jersey Boys – My Eyes Adored you (Joe picked this, which worked out great with us having the band)
