The Dress

It was the third shop I looked in. I initially wanted a lace gown, but as soon as I tried my dress on in La Boda I knew it was the one. I had my mum , my sister Nina, my sister in law Anita and my two flower girls, Eve and Maisie with me but I didn’t make my final decision until my sister Rachel and my cousin Eimear seen the dress on me. They fell in love with it too.

How did you both meet

We met in Galway, on At Patrick’s weekend in 2017. I was down with my Cousin Eimear and friend Nicole and met Ciaran and a group of his friends in a bar. Ciaran was dressed as a leprechaun and asked for my number but I said no. Little did I know Eimear added me on his Snapchat. He messaged me the next day and the rest was history!

How did Ciaran pop the question

In Positano, Italy. Ciaran has organised a sunset cruise for just the two of us.

First Look

I was supposed to do the first look with my dad, but I was so determined not to be late that I forgot! lol

Planning Team

Our wedding planners were Sunshine Weddings.
They were brilliant to work with, very accommodating and helpful. On the day everything was seamless, and better than we could have imagined! We are forever grateful to Scott and the team at Sunshine!

How did you feel walking down the aisle

I was nervous & excited. Me and my dad kept chatting to distract each other, and it worked!

Did you see Ciaran before the wedding

I stayed with my parents and bridesmaids in their villa the night before the wedding and me and Ciaran didn’t speak on the day until the top of the aisle.

The Kiss

The first kiss was funny, because we joked that Ciaran wouldn’t do it properly, as he hates PDA. So every time we had to kiss in the chapel and for photos we just laughed!

Finca Villa Palma

We chose Villa Finca Palma. We feel in love with the view and loved how ti looked lit up at night. We also loved that it was so close to our beautiful chapel in Old Town Marbella, which made it easy to transport our guests. It was the perfect fit.

Decor

Karen our florist did all of our decor, and she was brilliant! It was hard to try and visualize everything as we had never seen our venue set up, but Karen exceeded our expectations.

What was something really special at your wedding

We had family and friends from all over the world that attended our wedding, which was very special!

Were photos fun…..

Rebecca and Noah were great craic! We took some really fun photos at the reception, I can’t wait to see those! Rebecca and Noah made everyone feel really comfortable and at ease, which made the whole experience really enjoyable!

The Reception

We had the saxophone player play our drinks reception and entrance song, which was really fun! The band were amazing also, they got everyone involved in the party, especially my chief bridesmaid, who was essentially his back up singer the entire night lol The food was amazing, and sunshine arranged a tea and coffee dock for my relatives which went down a treat!

Getting Married Abroad

For anyone on the fence about getting married abroad, our advice is just do it!! We had the best week celebrating in Marbella with all of our favorite people. We are forever grateful to everyone who helped make it happen, it was just a dream!
