Grand Cayman Local Wedding | Sabrina and Matthew | Gorgeous Elegant wedding
June 16, 2015
Cayman is a very small island, so growing up here has a few challenges… Sabrina and Matthew met when Matthew was 6, their families attended the same functions and church together and they even have a photo of them both together when they were toddlers :), but it wasn’t until Sabrina came back from college in October 2008 that their paths crossed…. again. They officially started dating in 2009, Matthew decided to pop the question and popped on a scuba tank and placed garden stones at the bottom of the pool that read “MARRY ME?”. Matthew got her outside but Sabrina was convinced he was going to chuck her in the pool, but she was pleasantly surprised when he got down on one knee and proposed. Check out their engagement session here. A huge thank you to Lauren Miller who photographed this epic wedding with me!!
The smile on his face at our first look photos, our vows especially when I said the wrong words and laughed! Everyone having a great time, the dancing and most importantly the food!!! The crew at Pappagallos Restaurant is a force to be reckoned with!
Stressful until I hired my awesome planner- Juliette Heath Five Star Events!! Everyone of our vendors were helpful, professional and went above and beyond our expectations.
First store we went to..and first dress tried on. I said no sparkles at all. My sister and maid of honor picked it I was like sure I’ll try it what can it hurt. I knew because the minute I saw myself I couldn’t stop smiling and when they told my mother be careful she might cry I did instead!!
Research some photos you would like to catch the day passes in such a blurr and trying to think amongst all the excitement is a challenge haha! Also trust your photographer. Picture this are the best of the best, hands down!
Yes and I’m so happy we did! I was def more relaxed even with tears in my eyes walking down the aisle!
Rebecca – remember Matthew already saw Sabrina but he still cried when he saw her walk down the aisle!!! Guys just don’t get better than this 🙂
Set a budget and stick to it, Get a planner and book all vendors early!
