Neil and Gay chose the Grand Cayman Beach Suites for their wedding, right on the beautiful beach for the ceremony and then on to the rooftop for the reception. When I arrived in Gay’s room, I knew it was going to be a great wedding! This couple made me laugh from the very minute we started until I said goodbye that night….. and then the emails that just keep coming… 🙂 . We headed off to West Bay for some photos and when Neil saw Gay for the first time he had to wipe away the tears. Once the ceremony was on its way, the kids enjoyed watching these two become one! Before the rings were taken out of their little bag, they were passed around to each in attendance to have their family and friends give a silent blessing. This was such a beautiful expression and had a few of the family in tears. During cocktail hour the rains came and kept us inside for awhile, only to show us the biggest rainbow and clear skies. We all headed up to the rooftop for the reception and saw Gay and Neil cut the cake and do their first dance.
(you gotta love these guys) Here is their story told by Neil : “We met at a tennis tournament in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Both of us drove in from Texas to play in it, and we were partnered with each other. An amazing friendship happened in an instant. We won every match, and the chemistry was undeniable. We laughed through our matches. Basically, tennis is what brought us together! We had a year-long LONG distance (4 hours apart) relationship, where we saw each other only every other weekend and spoke on the phone for hours each night. We played every tennis tournament we could possibly play anywhere in Texas so we could see each other. I guess you could say I “courted” her in every sense of the word. Ba da bum. Chish! (that was my typed, post joke rim shot in case you didn’t get it)    After a year, I found a job in Gay’s hometown, moved to Austin and my girls moved with me. The rest is history! Her son and my girls have gotten along from the beginning, and they truly love each other as family. Gay is thrilled to have daughters, and I am more than thrilled to now have a son. This is the stuff dreams are made of!

We chose Cayman because it has everything we could want for our guests – both adults and children. Cayman is the perfect spot for families. Gay has visited many times, and just loves the island.  Cayman offers a feeling of safety, and a kind and loving population. Our main focus was to love on our family and friends, so we had a wonderful Welcome Party at our condo, chartered a boat to Stingray City, and had a lovely farewell breakfast for all of them the morning after the wedding. Our desire was to have a personalized wedding ceremony without a big production, so we could shower our closest friends and family with love and appreciation.

Our wedding evening truly was amazing. We had rain, a rainbow, the Super Moon on one side, AND a lightning storm behind us! Not to mention fireworks in the distance! 🙂“
