Engage Day 3 was no less amazing as the other days. I could not wait to get there to see the decor of the room and all the goodies. The speakers started out that day with David Beahm , Mindy Weiss and then the Media Panel which included, Michelle Rago, Shira Savada, Rebecca Crumley, Jill Meister, Angela Desveaux and Harmony Walton.
Then to the stage the awesome Sylvia Weinstock, the famous cake designer, you have got to see her cakes… http://www.sylviaweinstock.com/index_fl4.html, honestly her stories were brilliant and including having to hire a plane to transport one of her cakes. Can you imagine. She also said when she meets with a client she always asks, “What is your budget?” and normally the client (the bride) will say, “oh we don’t really have a budget!” so sylvia says…. “oh good, then the cake is going to be $100,000.00”. She says she normally has the REAL figure within 10 seconds. During her ‘insights’, Randy Fenoli couldn’t resist but to deliver her a martini in the middle of her session! Ceci Johnson, Marley Majcher and Ed Libby were also brilliant in their discussions and stories of success.
The coffee break was unbelievable! The Ritz staff put together an amazing spread of delicious deserts, I don’t think anyone took just 1! Even the straws matched the decor.
Sean Low had a great discussion… he said “selling pretty is not enough”. Had a lot of people thinking and is such a great speaker.
That was it for the afternoon and everyone went back to their rooms to relax and get ready for the evening Gala! I arrived early to take some shots of the setup! Everything was amazing from the linen to the food to the flowers and the lighting and the DJ was incredible. Ms Annie was there with the Celebrations crew, putting the finishing touches on!
Okay we are ready to let the party in!
The evening opened with a same day edit from Elysium Productions. As you can see the room stood still! Wow!
