Ellis and Luke’s Love Story was told in Ojen, in the Costa Del Sol Spain at the gorgeous Finca Villa Palma. They were surrounded by family and friends who flew over to watch as the couple said ‘I do’ in the fabulous sunshine overlooking the Mediterranean.

The Dress
Ahh my beautiful dress…I was with my mum and sister visiting London for the weekend to go dress shopping. I had an appointment booked at MWL main stockist. After trying on the 6 dresses I’d chosen out I thought I was sure…until my sister told me to try this dress on and when I did…I fell in love. It was so classic and timeless, I just knew it was the one. So I definitely have my sister to thank for that! She knows me so well.
How did you both meet
Well, Luke first saw me at our friends Esther and Matt’s wedding. I was in a relationship at the time and to be honest I didn’t even notice him. It was then after that he jokingly would ask Esther if I was single and two years later he then found out I was. So you could say he stalked me for 2 years haha. Although to be fair to him he didn’t actually drop me a message until a couple months afterwards. To then which we started speaking and we instantly got on and both thought it was the start of something special.
Cute Story
We wrote our own vows which made it extra special for us. It was a very heartfelt moment hearing the two of us exchange words we’d written from the heart. I’ll never forget that.
Hair and Makeup
Lorraine from princess bride Spain – did the most amazing hair and make up on my bridesmaids and also did my make up amazingly, stayed out right til the end! My friend Maddie did my hair which was perfect, I felt like a princess!
How did Luke pop the question
We were away with 2 friends in Devon. I had no idea and I’d always said I wanted to be completely surprised. It was October 2020 and I guess I thought because of the year we’d just had, there was no way luke had time to go out and buy a ring without me noticing because we’d been together pretty much 24/7 because of the lockdowns. We were just about to go out to dinner and we were taking a picture in the garden and I turned around and he was there on one knee. Our song was playing in the background And our friend caught it all on camera. It was a really special moment!
Decor and Flowers
We had Camy from Lemonface deco, just told her the colours I liked and how I wanted a mixture of dried and fresh and she got it down to a T! The flowers looked incredible!
Live Music
We had Alice singing and playing her guitar for our ceremony and also our drinks reception. We were last minute requesting a song that meant something special to the two of us to walk back up the isle to and wasn’t really sure if she was going to play it. But once we walked back up the isle married she started singing and it was the most beautiful moment We will always remember! We also had demain on the saxophone. He actually came in as a surprise mid way through our first dance which really then got the party started!
How did you feel walking down the aisle
I was feeling very excited and a little nervous but as soon as I saw Luke I felt calm
Did you see each other before the wedding
We decided not to spend the night before together which I think made it more exciting. As I just couldn’t wait to see Luke’s face at the top of the aisle. Our wedding wasn’t traditional but we wanted to keep that part.
How would you describe your overall wedding experience
I absolutely loved being a bride to be. The whole lead up was so exciting. It definitely helped having the support from sunshine weddings as our planners. They made it pretty stress free. I can say hand on my heart that is do the whole process over again. The wedding day go by so fast, I just wish you could rewind time and relive it again. But thats what the photos and videos are for hey!
Any advice to other couples
Go for it! It was the best decision we ever made. It was all totally worth it. We were lucky enough to spend a week in Spain with our loved ones. And the whole week was just celebrating and good vibes. Not like in the uk and it’s one day and it’s over. And you feel so special because everyone is there for you both! We made some core memories that will last forever!
Favourite moment from the wedding
My favourite moment was when I was sat at the table eating my meal..I just took a moment and looked around at everyone laughing and enjoying themselves and felt so lucky to have all our friends and family with us to share our special day. The whole day was pretty magical to be honest. We loved every minute of it.
Any photography advice for other couples and how was it with your photographer
Make sure you mark out enough time to get all the photos you want! The time goes so fast! You were so amazing to work with. Your kind gentle nature made me feel really at ease and I loved that you were up for taking some different types of photos instead of the traditional ones! I’m so excited to see the whole album!!
It wasn’t just the couple enjoying the day as you can see from everyones expression they were proud to be a part of Ellis and Luke’s Love Story.
How did you choose the venue
Our venue was Finca Villa Palma. The fact it was all outside made us choose it. And the fact you have the beautiful view that instantly takes your breath away as soon as you step out.
DJ
We had our amazing friend liv and also had my little brother who DJs on weekends back home have a little mix which was great fun to see!
Ellis and Luke’s Love Story continued into the night when everyone was on the dance floor under the stars.
First Dance
Our first dance was a cover of a Bob Marley song – is the love by Luke burr.
