Because Dan and I were friends for 4 years before we got together, we moved fast when we started dating. We moved in together in about a month, we went on our first vacation together in 2 months, we got our dog – Charlie Truffle in 6 months and we just did what we thought felt right regardless of time. Since we got together, we have been to over 40 cities and over 20 countries together and we own 3 properties in Chicago together. We are partners in love, adventure and business!
My sister, my mom and I were having lunch when we decided to stop into the same boutique my sister got her dress a few years prior. It was the first time we went to go look at dresses and this place didn’t require a reservation so we figured it would be a great place to start! I tried on maybe 7 dresses and we all just fell in love with one. I kept going back to it and I didn’t want to take it off. We knew!
We met at work. Dan actually interviewed me!
How did he pop the question:
We were in South Africa on a Safari. It was a few days after my 30th birthday. Our ranger was taking us to see a cheetah near the resort and instead there was a table in the middle of the wilderness with a white tablecloth, a huge bouquet of flowers, lunch and champagne!
How did you choose the groom’s outfit: We knew we wanted a nice blue suit for everyone and tan boat shoes.

What was your favourite moments from the wedding:
Walking down the aisle, eating appetizers and drinking champagne with dan after the ceremony, the glow party, dancing, everything!
Even though it rained, it was perfect. We had such an amazing day, we wish we could do it again!
Dan realized he forgot the wedding rings about 10 minutes into the ceremony. We told Rev Donovan and he slyly pulled his own ring off to give to Dan. Dan pulled off my engagement ring and slipped it right back on and I put Rev Donovan’s ring on Dan! His ring was about 3 ring sizes too big but it did the trick!
We incorporated the veil and cord- a Filipino tradition.
It’s going to be hot, bring something to wipe the sweat off!
