Craig, or ‘DJ Craig’ as he is know in Cayman, is one of the best DJ’s you will ever meet. I would often see Craig at weddings and events and always thought “blimey what a great guy….. we gotta hook him up!!!!!” 🙂 Then at a wedding during late summer 2011 Craig told me he found the one! Craig and Jessica – following many discussions along the lines of ‘What are we waiting for?’ – knew that the universe had willed them to be married in 2012. With Jessica making the move to Cayman in February and some discussion with their families regarding dates, the date of May 21st (a Public holiday in The Cayman Islands: ‘Discovery Day’, celebrating the Cayman Islands’ discovery by Christopher Columbus over 500 years ago in early May, and also a holiday in Canada) simply fell into place.
Jessica & Craig had a beautiful intimate family ceremony. As unique as their personalities are they couldn’t do traditional rings, so a tattoo artist was at the ready to tattoo their “rings” right after they said I do – how cool! They had plans for an awesome “BYOB&C” (Bring Your Own Booze and Chair :)) BBQ with family & friends at Kaibo public park. Unfortunately Mother Nature had other plans and the torrential rain meant they had to go with plan B, which wasn’t so bad since they were surrounded by such great friends and family.
Aaron and I got together with these guys a few weeks post wedding to get some awesome shots in Kaibo – seriously, how amazing are these two together?! Craig pulled up his boat and hung their perfect “Just Married” sign and we all headed for Ivory Point. After a few bride and groom pics they quickly stripped of their “dress up” clothes and donned their ‘regular’ clothes…. board shorts and bikini. Now fully at home in the water (they actually live a stone’s throw from this beach). Thank you so much for letting us be a part of your special day guys!
