Can you tell us a cute story/experience about you both?
“Before we first started dating, we became really close friends. We knew when we met that a few months later Jess would be moving overseas to do her Master’s in London so we were really reluctant to start a relationship. Love prevailed and after a year of long distance, Cory moved to London so we could be together and the rest is history!”
How did you feel during your vows or just before you walked down the aisle?
“SO chill. Honestly we had so much trust in every one of our vendors and just felt so lucky to be able to marry each other in such a beautiful place with so many friends and family members surrounding us. There wasn’t a single ounce of stress in either of us – we felt so relaxed and just soaked in every minute of it.”
What was your favourite moment from the wedding?
“Ok this is hard to pick because every single moment was the best moment of our lives. We both agreed that our first dance was one of our favourite moments of the day! Also standing under the chuppah as the sun began to set and looking out at all of our guests and just seeing and feeling their emotions (huge smiles and many tears) was so so special.”
Were there any unique items in your wedding that you would like to highlight?
“I feel like everything in our wedding was unique because of the location haha. The late night saxophonist was something we’d never seen before and totally loved. The 85 person conga line felt pretty unique to us but maybe that’s just a Cayman thing! Every item was a highlight to us.”
Can you tell us something cute or unique about your wedding?
“Our first dance was a total surprise! Neither of us have ever danced before so this was something totally outside of our comfort zone. We took ballroom lessons in secret and had an amazing instructor choreograph our dance. We practiced this at home every day for about 5 months so to surprise everyone with it and actually perform was AWESOME! Our families were pretty involved with a lot of the wedding planning so this was one of the things that was really just ours. It was an intimate experience that we were so happy to share with everyone, I think there were a lot of surprised guests. The sparklers only added to the magic!”
Did you have live music? If so tell me how they were!
“Yes we had Kate and Trinity Trio who played beautifully! We loved that they played a traditional Jewish song during the ceremony. Also Deny on the sax lit up the party – everyone went crazy for him and he totally elevated the late night dancing!”
