John and Rebecca
Cayman Islands Ritz Carlton Wedding
John and Rebecca were married on the gorgeous white sandy beach on the famous Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman hosted their wedding to perfection. Rebecca walked out between two double doors and stepped into the sand as John waited with all the kids and family watching and waiting with baited breath. John couldn’t keep the tears to himself as Rebecca was handed over to him by his father, who then officiated their amazing ceremony. All the children gave a personal speech and then participated in a sand ceremony.
I just want to recognize the Ritz Carlton for putting together a beautiful wedding.
My favorite moments were when the children did there readings and also the sand ceremony. The one thing that made our wedding very special was John’s father officiating.
Our wedding day could not have gone better. The girls and I getting our hair and makeup done before the wedding (Rock Gorgeous Salon) was a blast! The setup and ceremony were perfect. Music was awesome.
Do it! It was sooo easy and you basically have to do nothing. A little nerve racking because you really have to trust your wedding planner. Find Hajnal , she was awesome!
I was actually alone when I found my dress at Boston Bridal Rack. We were only engaged for a couple of months before the wedding so I had to move fast. It was the 2nd dress I tried on and I knew it was the one. The lace overlay was perfect for the islands. John and I went to Esmeralda Zegna in Boston and had his outfit made.
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Let it be one of the best days of your life without being super stressed over every little detail. destination, destination, destination….
John and I both are very uncomfortable having our pictures taken, but you mad us feel great about it. I can’t wait to see all of the final ones.
We did not see each other the day of the wedding. John stayed in anther suite the night before. The anticipation was awesome! I liked the fact we didn’t see each other because I couldn’t wait to see him when I walked down the aisle. He looked so handsome!
I was most anxious about being up in front of everyone and not being able to say my vows because I would be crying. Not sure how but, I nailed it! Actually John and his father cried more than I did. So cute.
We go on spring break in the Cayman’s every year. For the past couple we have had most of our family down as well. Both of us wanted a beach wedding and couldn’t think of a better place. The people in the Caymans are so nice compared to other places we’ve been, it’s gorgeous and there are plenty of things for guests to do while they are there. I could go on and on….
Our first dance song was “making memories of us” by Keith Urban. I have to admit I lost it and was sobbing during our dance. John’s father and I danced to “lean on me”.
I loved Rock Gorgeous Salon! Natalie did our hair and Caidian (not sure I spelled her name right) did our makeup. They came to my room and it was just a really fun day. Those girls are very good at what they do !
Boston Bridal Rack has a lot of beautiful dresses if you need something fast. We got the girls dresses at weddingway.com. They have beautiful colors and styles. The boys were vineyard vines and RLX.
Hajnal recommended Rebecca Davidson Photography. It’s funny because every local I talked to who asked me who was doing our pictures said I got the best on the island !
