Sebastien and Caroline contacted me from Quebec, Canada and discussed with me their plans for their amazing beautiful wedding day! The day was beautiful, the decor amazing and the clothes incredible. BUT the LOVE for their children (not just their own children, but their neices and nephews) was awesome. The theme around the whole wedding catered to the kids from the releasing of giant balloons instead of the traditional flowers, the programmes with colouring pages inside, the candy bar, the games and music. Celebrations did an amazing job, the guys were setting up from early. Mise en Place catered for their dinner that night, and DJ Craig jammed the tunes for a great great party! Two days before the wedding we went up to Rum Point to photograph all the different family’s. I asked them to tell me their story so we are posting this post in French also for their family and children. Congratulations guys, what a beautiful day!
Here’s their story… (English is their second language)
“Life happened, that one day we looked at the other differently, with intensity and we fell for each other. Our complicity , our shared sweet madness , our values, our attraction for each other and our desire to spend our life together has led us to this day we will cherish all our lives.
At the heart of our history, there are also children. Myriam , Livia and Cassandra have bonded quickly between them and with us. As said Livia during the Great Day …. They are now officially SISTERS . Our youngest daughter , Emmanuelle , and this unforgettable day has joined our two families into one.
2 years after the death of their father Sébastien and his brother Julien decided with their 2 loves, Caroline & Caroline to go relax with the kids in a paradise … Cayman Islands, and more specifically in the Villa, Sun Salutations. While the 2 of us take a walk all on the seashore and arriving at the point with a beautiful view of the sea and Cayman Kai , Sébastien surprised Caroline with the Great Demand. The ring Sebastien had chosen is the Cartier 2 for Trinity and was even more significant now. It is often said that death is preceded or followed by a birth … when setting foot in the Cayman Islands, Caroline was 5 months pregnant with our beautiful Emmanuelle and so our family grew to 6 … 2 for Trinity . From the windows of our Villa the 3 princesses were watching us coming back on the beach and ran to join us to give us the biggest hug in the world. Our Princesses , our joys of life.
When it came time to look at where we were getting married , the eyes of our girls had sparks to think we could go back to ” their villa ” in the Cayman Islands… and us too. It became the week we really wanted: Surrounded by people we love and who loves us, the children had a blast, we experienced a relaxing and fun week with good wine (a lot!) , champagne and great food ( thank you Aunt Caro “luxury” !); And finally a surprise that we will remember for all our lives … Our friends Marie- Josée and Vincent, who point to the Villa without warning while they could not initially be present … Marie- Josée and Caroline, our two porous rocks , had what we could call .. an emotion. Wow! J. And let’s not forget … The Montreal Habs who gave a hockey lesson to the Boston Bruins live from our villa living room … Priceless ! Go Habs Go!
It was the ceremony we were hoping for. The arrival of our princesses balloons in hand with Emmanuelle 20 months old enjoying herself while throwing petals; Our great friend Nathalie who presided over the ceremony with all the intensity and sincerity that we know her for; the precious testimonies of Véronique (Caro’ sister ) , Julien (Seb’ sister) and Myriam our older princess accompanied by her sister; Our vows that we wrote the day before , one beside the other. A unique ceremony, sincere , simple, beautiful , emotional … and hot !:) Oh yes it was hot ! Then what a wedding celebration ! A cocktail of happiness with live music, a delicious dinner , the party began with DJ Craig , children and adults having fun in the photo booth , battles in the pool and everyone dancing and finally the ” wishing lantern ” … and our typical dish from Quebec … a good after midnight POUTINE!

La vie a fait qu’un jour nous nous sommes regardés différemment, intensément et nous sommes tombés l’un pour l’autre. Notre complicité, notre folie commune, nos valeurs, notre attirance l’un pour l’autre et notre désir de passer notre vie ensemble nous ont conduit vers ce jour que nous chérirons toute notre vie.
Au cœur de notre histoire, il y a aussi les enfants. Myriam, Livia et Cassandre ont tissé des liens serrés rapidement entre elles et avec nous. Comme l’a dit Livia lors du Grand Jour …. Elles sont maintenant officiellement des SŒURS. Notre petite dernière, Emmanuelle, et cette journée inoubliable viennent unir nos 2 familles pour n’en faire qu’une.
Il y a 2 ans, suite au décès de leur père Sébastien et son frère Julien décidèrent avec leurs 2 amoureuses Caroline & Caroline d’aller se ressourcer avec la marmaille dans un endroit paradisiaque, soit les îles Cayman et plus spécifiquement à la Villa Sun Salutations . Alors que nous prenions une marche seuls tous les 2 sur le bord de la mer, arrivés sur la pointe avec une vue magnifique sur la mer et sur Cayman Kai, Sébastien fût la grande demande à Caroline. La bague que glissa Sébastien au doigt de Caroline était des plus significative soit la Cartier 2 for Trinity. On dit souvent qu’un décès est précédé ou suivi d’une naissance … au moment de mettre les pieds aux îles Cayman, Caroline était enceinte de 5 mois de notre merveilleuse Emmanuelle et donc notre famille s’agrandissait à 6 … 2 for Trinity. Des fenêtres de la Villa nos 3 princesses surveillaient notre retour et coururent nous rejoindre pour nous faire les plus gros câlins du monde. Nos Princesses, nos petites grenouilles, nos joies de vivre.
Au moment de considérer l’endroit où nous allions nous marier, les yeux de nos filles avaient des étincelles à penser qu’on retournerait dans « leur villa » J aux îles Cayman … et nous aussi. Ce fût une semaine comme on l’espérait : Entourés des gens près de nous que nous aimons et qui nous aiment; une semaine relaxante et amusante, avec du bon vin (beaucoup), du champagne et de la bonne bouffe (merci à tante Caro de luxe !); les enfants qui n’ont cessé de jouer ensemble et une surprise que l’on se souviendra toute notre vie … Nos amis Marie-Josée et Vincent qui se pointent à la Villa sans avertir alors qu’ils ne pouvaient initialement être présent… Marie-Josée et Caroline, nos 2 roches poreuses, qui ont en même temps une émotion. Wow! J. Ah oui … Et les Habs qui donnaient une leçon de hockey au Bruins de Boston en direct de notre salon dans la villa … PRICEless !! Go Habs Go!
Ce fût une cérémonie comme on la souhaitait. L’arrivée de nos princesses ballon à la main dont Emmanuelle qui s’amusait à lancer des pétales. Notre grande amie Nathalie qui présida la cérémonie avec toute l’intensité et la sincérité qu’on lui connaît. De précieux témoignages de Véronique (sœur de Caroline), de Julien (frère de Sébastien) ainsi que de Myriam la grande de nos princesses, accompagnée de ses sœurs. Nos vœux que nous avions écrit la veille, un à côté de l’autre. Une cérémonie sincère, simple, belle, unique, émotive … et chaude! J Oh oui il faisait chaud! Puis quelle célébration de mariage! Un cocktail de bonheur avec de la musique Live, un souper délicieux, le party qui a pogné avec DJ Craig, les enfants et les adultes qui s’amusent au photo booth, les batailles dans la piscine et tout le monde qui danse puis finalement les « wishing lantern » … et notre plat typique du Québec … une bonne poutine après Minuit!
